We have a group called TBC (The Breakfast Club), and The Powderbourne Restaurant is a frequent stop for our group. The service and staff are EXCELLENT. The food is great and the ambiance is awesome.
The best breakfast I have found in the region! It's a little off the beaten path and some mornings parking can be a challenge but well worth it! Hot food fresh from the grill served quickly by happy and courteous servers in a 200-year-old restaurant with a view! It just doesn't get any better than this. Oh wait, prices are very reasonable! If you are ordering breakfast sausage just order one. It is huge!
Nice place to eat. Brett small and sometimes a little crowded but it's well worth it. The braggart is the best you'll get in the upper Perlman area. The slab bacon is awesome and the scrapple is cooked to perfection. I'd give it a 10 star rating but I can only go to 5 star.

Think of a very large hill. Not like the hill on 29 by the Dam, but like Sumneytown hill. This place has gone down a hill JUST like Sumneytown hill. The best and only decent part of the breakfast was the ketchup. To make matters worse, you can't tip with a card?? Like, what the heck? Seeing that I would never stiff an old lady, I'll go back as soon as my pink eye clears up to even up with her. All this being said, I'd still give it another try. The prospect of their two hotdog lunch deal kinda revved my engine.
Food is good, small dining area, friendly service, good pricing. Well worth another visit. Thickest bacon I've ever had.
A tremendous hidden gem of a breakfast spot! Everything is fresh and plentiful. The staff is super friendly and really makes you feel at home. If I'm not making breakfast at home, I'm coming here. Sausage gravy and cream dried beef is all homemade. This place fills up, even on the weekdays. Be prepared to wait. Pro Tip: grab a seat at the lunch counter.
Powderbourne is the epitome of hometown diner experience. When it was recommended to me I didn't know what to expect, but turns out my hour drive was worth the experience. Cozy, homey, and rustic. Highlights: friendly staff, uncomplciated menu, and BACON (order the #2 special for a great diner breakfast experience). If there's a downside it might be the dining room feels small, but it also contributes to he atmosphere. For no-nonsense American breakfast, there are very few places I've had as good as this.
